At The Helm

Kelly D. Hudak

Kelly is co-founder of VAYU, powered by Blue Water Services Global, LLC. Her background in Art, holding an M.F.A. from UC Santa Barbara has allowed her to expand into the journey of creative entrepreneurship. All the while she has dedicated her life to well-being and yoga practice, studying with teachers in the Ashtanga Mysore tradition.

It was on a trip back to California in 2011 where Kelly hopped onboard a Lido 14 at The School of Sailing & Seamanship with her fiancé and business partner, Bruce LaFollette. Fast forward to 2025 . . . A blur of sailing, racing, yoga, photography and charter yacht deliveries, lead to a defining moment.

A vision to offer transformative oceanic experiences aboard charter yachts with a dedicated crew to support the journey of well-being.

Kelly has sailed along the Atlantic Coast to and from The Bahamas and British Virgin Islands as mate on charter delivery. She later began preparing itinerary proposals for private clients and most recently attended the Newport Charter Yacht Show. Her love for the rejuvenating environment of the islands has kindled a dedication to accurate knowledge and resources.
